Store Terms

Effective:

These Store Terms supplement the Kai Terms of Service and apply when you shop through Kai Store. Kai Research Inc. operates Store. Our Privacy Policy explains how shopping, order, and delivery information is handled. Digital creator offerings and coaching follow the Business Terms.

Store is in development. Its scope includes merchandise and, as available, product discovery, wishlists, product information, and shopping assistance. These terms also cover third-party and affiliate shopping when offered. Describing a product or capability does not make it available for purchase or promise a launch date. An actual listing and checkout determine availability and the terms of a sale.

1. Who sells and fulfills your order

The listing and checkout must identify the seller and who is responsible for fulfillment and returns. For goods sold by Kai, Kai is responsible for the sale, even if a fulfillment partner ships the order. For an identified third-party seller, that seller's disclosed terms govern its sale alongside any applicable Kai marketplace terms. A link to another merchant's checkout does not make Kai the seller or payment processor for that purchase.

Before accepting an order, the seller must disclose the item, variant, quantity, price, currency, applicable shipping and taxes, delivery restrictions, expected shipment timing, and return or warranty terms. Those terms must be available before you commit to pay. A general Store description does not substitute for the specific sales disclosures.

2. Orders and payments

Review the item, size, quantity, address, total, and seller before confirming a purchase. Use a payment method you are authorized to charge and provide accurate delivery information. Availability and prices can change before checkout; a wishlist, recommendation, or prepared cart does not reserve stock or lock a price.

The checkout identifies the billing provider and amount you authorize, including shipping and taxes. Payment processing and order fulfillment are separate: a payment confirmation does not mean your order has shipped. If an order cannot be fulfilled after payment, the seller must provide the cancellation and refund required by the sale terms and applicable law. We will not substitute a different item or charge a higher price without your authorization.

A one-time merchandise purchase does not create a recurring order. Any subscription, scheduled replenishment, or recurring purchase requires a separate disclosed authorization, including its charges and cancellation process.

3. Delivery and unavailable items

Available destinations, shipping charges, and shipment estimates appear with the actual offer or checkout. We do not promise a universal shipping rate or delivery period in these terms. Tracking, when available, reports the shipment's progress; it is not a guarantee of a particular arrival time.

For US merchandise orders covered by the FTC's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, the seller must have a reasonable basis to ship within the advertised period, or within 30 days if no period is stated. If the seller cannot meet the applicable shipment deadline, it must provide the required delay notice and cancellation option, obtain consent to delay where required, or provide a prompt refund for unshipped merchandise. These Store Terms do not remove those rights.

4. Cancellations, returns, and product problems

The actual offer must state any return window, item-condition requirements, exclusions, return-shipping responsibility, and warranty coverage before you buy. There is no single return period or additional product warranty promised by these general terms. Any non-waivable rights for defective, misdescribed, or undelivered goods still apply.

For an order billed by Kai, use the available order or return controls or contact Support. A paid order needs a refund process rather than simply closing an unpaid checkout. Requesting a return does not confirm eligibility, shipment of the return, or payment of a refund. We will communicate the required next steps and the refund outcome. For a third-party purchase, use the identified seller's return process; contact Kai Support if the seller identity or route is unclear.

Deleting a Kai account does not itself confirm that an order or refund is complete. Keep your order reference and resolve open delivery or return issues through the applicable seller. Our Account Deletion page explains the separate account process.

5. Store credit

When you have eligible Store credit, checkout shows how much applies to merchandise and what remains payable. Store credit is separate from a Kai subscription, a creator's earnings, and a virtual gifting balance. It does not cover shipping or taxes unless the stated credit terms expressly say otherwise.

Credit reserved for an unpaid Kai order is released after payment cancellation or expiry is confirmed. A successful cash refund restores the corresponding proportion of Store credit used on that order; a full cash refund restores all of that reserved credit. A pending or failed refund does not count as a completed restoration. Any additional eligibility or promotion conditions must be disclosed with the credit offer.

6. Shopping assistance and recommendations

Shopping assistance can help compare products or prepare a cart using the context you choose to provide. Recommendations may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check suitability, compatibility, product instructions, current terms, and price before purchase. A product recommendation does not guarantee a particular result or suitability for your intended use. This does not limit any product warranty or rights you have under the sale terms or applicable law.

When purchase actions are available, they require authority for the actual merchant, items, quantities, price, and applicable spending limits. Permission to search, compare, or maintain a wishlist does not by itself authorize a purchase. A change outside the authority you gave, such as a higher price or a different item, requires your renewed choice.

Sponsored placements, paid collaborations, and affiliate recommendations must identify the relevant commercial relationship where you encounter them. If Kai or a creator may earn a commission from a recommendation, that relationship must be disclosed with it. Commercial incentives do not expand permission to access your health information or other private context.
