Content Removal
Use this page to request removal of content on Kai or report a privacy, safety, or rights concern. Requests can involve text, images, videos, or other content. You do not need a Kai account to contact us.
- Intimate images shared without consent
- Other harmful content and privacy concerns
- Your own content and personal data
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Kai is not an emergency service.
1. Intimate images shared without consent
You can ask Kai to remove an intimate image or video that depicts you and was shared without your consent. This process covers real images and videos as well as digitally created or altered depictions, including sexual deepfakes. You do not need a Kai account to make a request.
Use this process wherever the content appears on Kai, including a profile, Post, private conversation, Group, dating interaction, or live feature when available. An anonymous alias, limited audience, or disappearing format does not excuse sharing intimate content without consent.
Submit a removal request
Email [email protected] with the subject Intimate Image Removal Request. Include:
- the URL, account name, message or Post details, or other information reasonably sufficient for Kai to locate the image or video; for live content, include the host, event, and approximate time if you know them;
- a brief statement that the depiction is of you, or of the person you are authorized to represent, and that you have a good-faith belief it was shared without that person's consent;
- your name and a reliable way for Kai to contact you;
- your typed or electronic signature;
- if you are submitting for someone else, your relationship to that person and the authority that allows you to act for them.
A parent or legal guardian may submit for a minor. An authorized representative may submit for the person depicted. Do not send the intimate image itself when a URL or content location is enough for us to find it.
What happens next
Kai will assign an identifying number to the request and may ask only for information reasonably needed to validate it or locate the content. After receiving a valid request, Kai will remove the reported depiction as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies on Kai within the same period.
We will tell you whether we removed the content or why the request could not be completed. Content that does not qualify for this process may still violate our Community Rules, and we may act on it under those rules.
If Kai does not remove qualifying content or known identical copies within 48 hours of a valid request, or you cannot use the removal process, you can report the problem to the Federal Trade Commission. You may also contact us with your request number for a status update.
Additional support
If the image or video was taken when the person depicted was under 18, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's Take It Down service may help participating platforms detect copies without uploading the image. Adults can also consider StopNCII.org. These are independent services and are not operated by Kai. The Federal Trade Commission also publishes plain-language information about the TAKE IT DOWN Act.
2. Other harmful content and privacy concerns
You can report content that may violate our Community Rules, including harassment, threats, impersonation, scams, or disclosure of private information. Use reporting controls where available, or email [email protected] with the subject Content Removal Request. Include:
- the URL, account name, message or Post details, or other information that helps us find the content;
- what concerns you and why you believe the content violates our rules or your rights;
- relevant context, including whether you are affected directly or are reporting a concern for someone else;
- a reliable way for Kai to contact you if we need more information.
Share only information relevant to the concern. Do not forward illegal sexual imagery; provide its location instead. If your request involves an intimate image shared without consent, use the specific process in section 1.
For copyright or other intellectual-property infringement, follow the reporting instructions in our Terms of Service, including the required report details.
We review reports under our rules and applicable law. We may ask for more context, remove content, restrict access, or take other action described in the Community Rules. A report does not guarantee removal; disagreement or criticism alone does not establish a violation. The 48-hour deadline in section 1 applies to qualifying intimate-image requests, not every content report.
If Kai has taken action against your own content or account and you disagree, follow the appeal instructions in the notice or our Community Rules.
3. Your own content and personal data
To remove content you shared, use the deletion controls available for that feature or contact [email protected] for help. For requests to access, correct, or delete personal information held by Kai, follow our Privacy Policy. To delete your Kai account, follow Account Deletion.
4. Privacy and request records
Kai uses request information to locate and remove content, communicate with you, prevent abuse, protect people, and comply with law. We limit access to people and providers who need the information for those purposes and retain request records as reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
