Community Rules

Kai is a place to share, learn, create, and connect. We welcome different interests, experiences, goals, and points of view. These rules help people participate with confidence and respect one another's safety, privacy, and choices.

These rules apply across Kai wherever you share content or interact with others, including profiles, posts, messages, communities, events, live broadcasts, dating, reviews, and purchases when those features are available. Private, anonymous, disappearing, and paid experiences follow the same rules. They also apply to new ways of sharing and interacting as Kai grows; mentioning an activity here does not mean it is available in your app or account.

Keep people safe

Do not:

• threaten, encourage, glorify, or coordinate violence, terrorism, or violent criminal activity;
• create, share, request, or facilitate child sexual exploitation or abuse, including sexualized content involving minors;
• groom, sexually coerce, blackmail, traffic, or exploit another person;
• encourage suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders, or share methods and instructions that enable them;
• promote dangerous challenges, drug misuse, or other activities likely to cause serious physical harm; or
• share extreme gore, graphic depictions of abuse, or images of injury or suffering intended to shock, humiliate, or celebrate harm.

Sharing an experience is different from encouraging harm. You may discuss difficult experiences, seek support, describe recovery, report on abuse, or challenge harmful claims. Non-graphic injury and recovery photos can be part of that discussion. Do not include instructions that enable serious harm or use an educational, documentary, fictional, or humorous framing to promote abuse. Sexualized content involving minors is never allowed.

If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Kai is not an emergency service.

Respect people and their boundaries

Disagreement, candid feedback, honest negative reviews, and criticism of ideas or conduct are allowed. You do not have to agree with someone to participate. Context matters, including whether feedback was invited and whether someone has asked you to stop contacting them.

Do not:

• harass, stalk, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop;
• threaten, dehumanize, use hateful slurs against, or otherwise abuse people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, serious disease, or another protected characteristic;
• target someone with degrading personal attacks about their body, health, abilities, or personal circumstances;
• make unwanted sexual comments, send unwanted sexual content, or pressure someone for intimacy; or
• coordinate harassment or encourage others to overwhelm someone with abusive contact.

For example: explaining why you disagree with advice or why a purchase disappointed you is allowed. Threatening the person, mocking their disability, or organizing abusive messages is not. Quoting abuse to condemn or report it is different from directing that abuse at someone.

Respect a person's decision to decline, leave, or end an interaction. A match, purchase, gift, or membership never entitles you to someone's attention, personal information, or intimacy. Do not evade a block or use another account to continue unwanted contact.

Respect privacy and consent

Do not expose or threaten to expose someone's private information without permission, including:

• their home address, precise location, private contact details, login information, or financial information;
• private health information, intimate details, or other sensitive personal information;
• private messages, photos, recordings, or other content when the person reasonably expected privacy;
• the identity behind an anonymous alias; or
• information that identifies or endangers a vulnerable person.

Get permission before recording or sharing someone in a private setting or sharing sensitive information about them. An incidental appearance in a public event or crowd photo is not automatically a violation. That does not permit stalking, revealing private information, or using an image to harass or endanger someone.

Reporting abuse is allowed. You may provide relevant private messages or other evidence to Kai or appropriate authorities to report abuse, fraud, or a safety concern. Share only what is needed through the relevant reporting channel; this is not permission to publicly expose someone's private information. Do not forward illegal sexual imagery; report its location instead.

Never share or threaten to share nonconsensual intimate imagery, including sexual deepfakes. A person's consent to create or privately share an image is not permission to publish it.

Anyone depicted in an intimate image or video shared without consent can use our intimate image removal process, including without a Kai account.

Keep sexual content off Kai

Do not post pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexual fetish content, sexual solicitation, or content whose primary purpose is sexual arousal. This includes synthetic and AI-generated content. Sexualized content involving minors is prohibited in every circumstance and may be reported to relevant authorities.

Bodies are not inherently sexual. Ordinary nonsexual photos, including swimwear, personal progress, and breastfeeding, are allowed, as is non-explicit health education. Clothing, body shape, or the amount of skin visible alone does not make content sexual. We consider the activity, framing, captions, and surrounding context; these exceptions do not permit explicit sexual content, exploitation, or privacy violations.

Be authentic

Do not:

• impersonate a person or organization or use a deceptive username;
• claim qualifications, licenses, affiliations, or expertise you do not have;
• fabricate achievements, participation, results, reviews, testimonials, or evidence;
• manipulate rankings, run spam campaigns, or buy or coordinate fake engagement; or
• use materially altered or AI-generated media to deceive people about a real person, event, qualification, or result.

Nicknames and anonymous participation are allowed where the feature supports them. Parody, fiction, and edited or AI-generated work are allowed when their nature is clear and they follow the other rules. Presenting a fabricated result or endorsement as genuine is not made acceptable by labeling an image as edited.

For example: sharing an illustration or clearly identified parody is allowed. Creating a fake customer review, inventing credentials, or altering evidence to mislead someone about an outcome is not.

Keep transactions honest and lawful

Do not scam, phish, steal, or arrange fraudulent services. Do not buy, sell, solicit, or facilitate illegal drugs, controlled substances, prescription medication, anabolic steroids, weapons, tobacco or nicotine products, alcohol, counterfeit goods, or stolen goods through Kai. Other goods and services must comply with applicable law and the terms for the Kai feature used to offer them.

Discussing a substance, describing a personal experience, or sharing prevention and recovery information is different from arranging a sale or giving instructions likely to cause serious harm. Do not use Kai to arrange unsafe medical or drug services.

Be clear about what a purchase includes, your relevant qualifications, and sponsorships or paid, gifted, affiliate, or other material commercial relationships. Do not make misleading claims about benefits, results, earnings, or availability. Our Business Terms and Store Terms provide additional terms for the transactions they cover.

Share responsibly

Only share material you have the right to share. Do not post malware, malicious code, phishing links, credential-harvesting pages, or content designed to compromise accounts, evade safeguards, overload systems, or interfere with Kai. Never try to access or compromise someone else's account.

Distinguish your experience and opinion from verified facts or professional advice. Be honest about uncertainty. Personal stories, disagreement, and good-faith mistakes are different from deliberate deception or instructions likely to cause serious harm. Do not present AI-generated answers or someone else's private information as a basis for diagnosing or prescribing treatment to another person.

If you organize a community, event, or live experience, communicate any additional participation rules and use the moderation controls available to you. Your rules may be stricter than Kai's, but they cannot permit conduct these rules prohibit. Do not encourage violations or pressure people to disclose private information, buy something, or participate against their wishes. Get the permissions needed to record or share other participants.

Reporting and enforcement

Use available reporting controls or email [email protected] to report a possible violation. Our Content Removal guide explains what to include for different concerns. Include the content or account location and enough context for us to understand the concern. For a real or synthetic intimate image shared without consent, use our intimate image removal process, including without a Kai account.

Make reports in good faith. A report does not have to result in enforcement to be legitimate. Do not fabricate evidence, knowingly make false reports, or organize reports to punish someone for permitted speech.

Kai may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently ban it. Action may apply to particular content, an activity, or the account as a whole. We consider context, severity, intent, prior violations, and risk; severe violations may result in immediate action without a warning. These rules apply equally to paying users, creators, businesses, and other participants. Do not evade an account restriction or ban by creating or using another account or acting through someone else.

Where appropriate, we will provide notice explaining the action and the applicable rule. We may limit the information provided to protect someone's privacy or safety, an investigation, or legal obligations. We may preserve information or report conduct when required by law or necessary to address an imminent safety risk.

If we take action against your content or account, you may appeal using the notice instructions or by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Enforcement Appeal." Identify the content or account, the action you are appealing, and why you believe we made a mistake. Avoid resending harmful material when a content location is enough.
